Foster Survey Company Celebrates 25 Years of Service Excellence!
Foster Survey Company is proud to celebrate 25 years of service excellence, surveying in Rhode Island since 1993! Founders, Eric Colburn and Kurt Smith shared a passion for land surveying and saw a need for high-quality land surveys in rural, northwestern RI that wasn’t being met after a few notable surveyors in the area retired; Spencer, Hall, and Mowry, to name a few. After a few years, as planned, Kurt left Foster Survey Company, relocating to rural, western Virginia to build his dream mountain top log cabin!
With an initial focus on rural surveys, land subdivisions and septic system designs, Foster Survey Company quickly grew into a full-service land surveying and planning firm. We started with conventional equipment and traditional methods used by land surveyors for hundreds and thousands of years.
It’s amazing how much better we can serve our clients today using the most advanced technologies like computer aided drafting (CAD), Global Positioning System (GPS) , robotic total-stations and now drones!
In fact, many of our clients are surprised to learn the full extent of our services and how important surveying and surveyors are in many areas of their lives.
