West Greenwich, RI – January 28, 2012 – Today, Eric Colburn, PLS, RI Professional Land Surveyor and President of Foster Survey Company, presented the Woodland Owner’s Workshop series “Where Is It” Woodland Boundary session to members of the RI Forest Conservator’s Organization (RIFCO).
Being asked to again speak at this workshop, having had the privilege of speaking at the RIFCO workshops many times since 1995, was an honor for Eric.
“It is always a rewarding experience for me to speak at these RIFCO Woodland Owner’s Workshops because of the great questions I get from the attendees about their woodland boundaries,” said Eric Colburn, PLS, “and it’s enriching to connect with like-minded land owners dedicated to the stewardship of their land and boundaries.”
The RI Forest Conservator’s Organization (RIFCO) popular workshops on woodland management topics are being held this winter at the West Greenwich Community Center, located behind the Louttit Library at 274 Victory Highway, on Saturday mornings from January 28, 2012 to February 18, 2012.
In his “Where Is It” Woodland Boundary session, Eric D. Colburn, PLS, spoke and answered audience questions on the following topics:
- Common Boundary Monuments
- Deed Descriptions
- The History Of Land Surveying And Land Surveying Equipment
- Boundary Issues with Neighbors, Easements And Adverse possession
- Boundary Trees
- Surveys
- Survey Maps And Survey Plans
- Class I, Class II And Class IV Survey Standards
In addition to the “Where Is It” Woodland Boundary Session presented by Eric Colburn, PLS, other RIFCO Woodland Owner’s Workshop 2012 Series sessions include various land management topics, like:
