4 Simple Steps to Getting Your FEMA Flood Elevation Certificate

4 Simple Steps to Getting Your FEMA Flood Elevation Certificate

Getting a FEMA Flood Elevation Certificate is simple, quick, and without hassle for you. You might need a Flood Elevation Certificate to fully protect your property, or in order for you to obtain flood insurance.

We offer our Express Service, a simple 4-step method, to get your Elevation Certificate within 14 business days. (If you’re in a rush or need your Flood Elevation Certificate done faster than 14 business days, our Rush or Ultra-Rush services can get you your Certificate within 7 or even 4 business days.)

If you’re looking to get a FEMA Flood Elevation Certificate for your residential, single-family structure, you can expect these 4 simple steps.

This is the 4-step process you can expect:

  1. Place your order – Elevation Certificate service is easily ordered online. You may also call (401-647-9240) or submit a survey request form and we’ll be happy to answer your questions and take your order.
  2. Schedule a home inspection – Let us know the day and time that’s convenient for you to let us inspect and survey the inside of your home. Typically, our home inspection takes about 30 minutes (homes with complicated basements or difficult to reach crawlspaces take longer).
  3. Exterior Surveying – We take measurements of the ground elevations at the exterior perimeter of your home (including attached decks and stairs), measure the floor elevations and, if you have one, your garage slab elevation. You do not have to be home for this work, but we do need access to any enclosed yard areas and any crawlspace access doors. Also, it is very helpful if your dog(s) are not left outside while we do our surveying work (friendly pooches excepted).
  4. Elevation Certificate delivered – You will receive the completed Elevation Certificate via email (in .pdf format). If you don’t use email or you would prefer to receive your completed Elevation Certificate by regular mail, we are happy to do so.

In just these 4 steps, you could have your FEMA Flood Elevation Certificate, allowing you to protect your property and obtain the right flood insurance coverage for you.
